Inner Structures is a professional Interior design company based in Long Island City, New York.

The company was founded in 1993 in New York City by Mae Vela with a vision to create designs suited for clients with varying lifestyles. Originally born and raised from Manila Philippines, her design background started early at the University of the Philippines, and continued further to The New York School of Interior Design and a Masters Program at the Pratt Institute. Years of travels, experience and knowledge of indigenous resources inspires her curated eye for sophisticated and global styles that cater to a diversified clientele.

 The philosophy of our personal design services is driven primarily by our innate passion. We strive to realize the vision and need of each client and convey them creatively into a timeless lived-in feeling of quiet comfort and sophistication.

Our design approach captures the functionality of the spaces exposing their aesthetic potentials and incorporating new details to successfully create the beautiful and highly sensible interior project. With the emphasis in providing full interior architecture and design services, Inner Structures walks through the design process with every client to successfully meet their project needs and goals while upholding the intimacy of their personal space.

Meticulously detailed millwork and architectural details integrated into the distinctive interiors to achieve unique and personally designed spaces. Custom fabrication and installation collaborated with skilled contractors, subcontractors and craftsmen is the teamwork recipe to make our clients’ dream become a reality.
